Expect to be there in no time! This means that if you are a shopaholic there is no better area to stay in the city than right around Somerset! Staying here means that you have direct access to tons of malls and even more restaurants. Keep in mind that each mall has no shortage of dining options.
So, if there are lots of malls, expect tons of restaurants. It is also a bonus staying in this area in terms of accessing the MRT network. Not only can you walk directly to Somerset Station, but you can also use Orchard Station or Dhoby Ghaut Station while you are in this area. You might even use one station to access this area and then another station to exit it. It is common to see pedestrians walking from one mall to the next along Orchard Road.
Take note, however, that areas such as Chinatown are much cheaper in terms of hotels and apartments than Orchard. Call X.
