Hydra is a very good spell it adds lots of dps. As for which hydra is best, I'm not sure, havent played with it enough to tell yet since venom hydra is gone. User Info: LightHawKnight. Pretty useless on higher difficulties as well. Since it is not worth it. You want magic weapon for the dps. You want energy armor for the survive, pinpoint for dps or prismatic for more survive.
Archon to deal better dps for elites, Powered Archon is best. And since you are probably running either Frozen Orb, or Disintegrate Black Hole is great for grouping enemies together to deal that damage, Absolute Zero for Frozen Orb dps, or Spellsteal of Disintegrate dps. Or if you want to be useful in a party Event Horizon to deal with those pesky elites.
